Quarterly Reports

A summary of Parish Council activity in each three month period, summarised by the Chair of the Council.

January 2018

In the past three months the PC has:

  • Agreed a slight increase in the budget for 2018-19 but this will mean a slight decrease for householders as there are more houses in the village.
  • Replaced the old fence around the cemetery.
  • Submitted the Neighbourhood Development Plan to SDC for public consultation.
  • Ordered some adult fitness equipment for the park Obtained support from WCC to upgrade the path around the park,

October 2017

In the past three months the PC has:

  • Finalised the Neighbourhood Development Plan which will be submitted to SDC.
  • Installed a new climbing wall at the playing fields.
  • Obtained a grant from WCC to part-fund extending and improving the path around the playing fields.
  • Started the process of investigating the suitability of the proposed new cemetery.

June 2017

In the past three months the PC has:

  • Successfully completed the World War I centenary project.
  • Made grants to the church towards the memorial garden, and the Village Club.
  • Installed new benches at the park.
  • Completed the second consultation on the Neighbourhood Development Plan which now goes to Stratford DC for review.

September 2016

In the past three months the PC has:

  • Project managed the construction of a path at the park, to encourage walking.
  • Arranged for the clearance of excess soil at the cemetery.
  • Met with Jeremy Wright regarding the proposed new surgery in Bishop’s Itchington.
  • Begun the consultation on final draft of the Neighbourhood Plan.
  • Made a grant supporting the Victorian Street Fayre.
